Come and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Trouble In The Kitchen - Australia's Premier Traditional Irish Band.

Playing Times :

8.00 - 8.45: Cat & Clint

9.00 - 10.30: Trouble In The Kitchen

They are in Melbourne to record their much anticipated 3rd album, and we have grabbed them while they are here for this special 20th Anniversary show! Ado Barker (fiddle, vocals); Kate Burke (guitar, vocals), Benno Stephenson (Flute, Bodhr n) and Joe Ferguson (Irish Bouzouki).

Trouble in the Kitchen have earned a reputation as world class performers of traditional Irish music. They have succeeded in beautifully weaving together classic Irish traditional music with original material and a strong dose of music from the Australian-Irish tradition, and in doing so their sound has developed a distinctive, innovative twist.

Special guests Cat & Clint play Old Time, featuring sweet vocal harmonies, clawhammer banjo and driving fiddle tunes. Predominantly traditional Old Time music from the Southern States of America, they mix it up with a few original songs, a touch of blues and some vintage country. Cat and Clint live in Blackwood, VIC which is fast becoming one of the Bluegrass and Old Time hot spots of Australia.

"Cat and Clint are in the top echelon of Ol' Timey players and we love having them at the festivals, not just for their concert performances but also for their enthusiasm in joining, or leading, any players session that is going. They are an important part of the glue that holds any festival together."
-Andrew Patterson, Newstead Live! Music Festival
