Duke of George presents
Tribute to Jazz Violin with Emily Gelineau
You’ve heard of jazz piano, jazz guitar, and many other jazz instruments, but the violin is an instrument that isn’t always associated with jazz, but should be! The history of jazz violin is small, but rich and stretches back almost a century. Emily Gelineau presents a night of celebrating prominent Jazz Violinists through time who helped to shape the scene and path the way for more emerging violinists. Emily Gelineau is a violinist and piano, back in Perth after studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA for 3 years, and has studied with many contemporary violin and legends such as Jason Anick, Matt Glaser, Eugene Friesen and Sara Caswell.
