Set to return to Australia this September and October for Listen Out, Tove Lo has today announced headline sideshows across Australia and New Zealand. The multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY® Award nominated artist will play Powerstation in Auckland on Wednesday 21 September, before heading to 170 Russell in Melbourne on Wednesday 28 September, and Metro Theatre in Sydney on Thursday 29 September. The Secret Sounds presale begins on Friday 19 August at 9am local time, with tickets on sale to the general public Monday 22 August at 9am local time.

“I’m so ready to finally come back and play Australia and do my first headline show in New Zealand. They both have a special place in my heart and I’m excited to share my new tunes and new moves. Get ready for an emotional dance party!” Tove says.

Following her visit, Tove Lo will release her highly anticipated fifth studio album DIRT FEMME via Pretty Swede Records/mtheory on October 14. The album tracklist boasts an impressive lineup of special guests, including SG Lewis (appearing on two tracks), Channel Tres and First Aid Kit. It also features the irresistible recent single 2 Die 4, the powerful fan track True Romance, the triumphant No One Dies From Love which already boasts an impressive 31 million+ global streams, and How Long which featured in the season 2 soundtrack of Euphoria

DIRT FEMME is about me and my relationship with my femininity. When I started out as a writer and an artist I used to view my feminine traits as weaker and would enhance my masculine traits to get ahead in life. I feel a big energy shift in my environment since then and this album reflects the various ways my feminine side has both helped and hurt me. I am a pansexual woman married to a straight main. I believe masculine and feline lives on a spectrum in all humans. There’s so many more interesting nuances than most people wanna accept.” She explains.

Most recently, Tove Lo has performed to rapturous audiences at Governors Ball Festival, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Osheaga Music and Arts Festival and is no stranger to Australia, taking the stage at Splendour In The Grass, performed with Flume at the ARIA Awards, and supported Katy Perry on her Australian and New Zealand arena Prismatic Tour, and Spotify’s Front Left Live with BENEE, Tones And I and girl in red.

ABOUT TOVE LO

Tove Lo embodies every side of her own femininity in her music. She can be powerful in one breath and lusty in the next. Her cleverness will turn into introspection just before she makes herself heard again. She fights hard and loves even harder. Tove has always spoken her mind, and it’s why she’s left an ever-expanding imprint on pop. She first made waves worldwide with her platinum-certified 2014 full-length debut, Queen of the Clouds, uplifted by the quintuple-platinum Habits (Stay High) and double-platinum Talking Body. Among numerous collaborations, she joined forces with Nick Jonas for the platinum Close and Flume on the gold-certified Say It. in addition to anthems with Alesso, Coldplay, Martin Garrix, Charli XCX, Sean Paul, ALOK, and Major Lazer, to name a few.

In the midst of sold out shows on multiple continents, she served up Lady Wood [2016] and Blue Lips (Lady Wood Phase II) [2017] before reaching another stratosphere on 2019’s Sunshine Kitty. It landed on year-end lists from the likes of Esquire and Idolator, while Pitchfork proclaimed, “Sunshine Kitty holds some of Tove Lo’s most vulnerable writing; it’s also her clubbiest record.” Meanwhile, she garnered her second GRAMMY® Award nomination with Glad He’s Gone in the category of “Best Music Video.

As a songwriter behind-the-scenes, she’s penned music for everyone from Lorde to Zara Larsson in addition to co-writing Ellie Goulding’s quintuple-platinum Love Me Like You Do for Fifty Shades of Grey, receiving nominations at the Golden Globe® Awards and the GRAMMY® Awards. Now, Tove realises a new strength within femininity on a series of singles for her own Pretty Swede Records/mtheory and more to come.
