Coming off the back of four years running some of Canberra's favourite burlesque variety nights (including Decadence and Debauchery, High Brow at the LoBrow, Music and Mayhem and most recently co-producing Miss Burlesque ACT), #JazidaProductions is excited to bring a new intimate night of underground alternate performing arts and burlesque to TRANSIT BAR!
Doors open 8:00pm for an 8:30pm show start on Saturday 31 August
Miss Friby (coming from Melbourne)
In a tornado of impeccable showmanship and exotic glamour, this Lucille Ball/Bette Midler hybrid is a hilarious ride of wild choreography, decadent aesthetics and satirical bite. Miss Friby has certainly made her mark on the Vaudeville, Cabaret and Burlesque circuit, with two Green Room Award nominations (2012/15), a Fields Award nomination for her 'Contribution to Australian Vaudeville' (2015) and act direction/outside eye for the winning entries of Miss Burlesque Australia 2014 (Zelia Rose) and Mr Boylesque Australia 2015 (Egson Ham).

Jazida has become recognised as one of Australia’s premiere burlesque performers, having been accepted to perform at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas in 2018, selected as a Featured Artist for the Australian Burlesque Festival 2019, chosen as the representative Australian Headliner for the Perth International Burlesque Festival in 2019 and selected as teacher on the Australian Burlesque Cruise 2020!

Nicknamed the “Pint-sized Powerhouse”, Rebelle Velveteen won Burlesque Idol Sydney 2015, was a finalist in Miss Burlesque NSW in 2015 and is a finalist in Miss Burlesque ACT 2019. She is also a teacher and producer who has taught classes across NSW and the ACT and has produced a string of successful, sold out shows in Sydney.
Described as a "bump and grind machine", Rebelle enchants audiences with her enigmatic style, mixing sexy and comical, classic and a punchy styles always topped off with a twist. With enough oomph to floor a lighting rig, Rebelle's energy fills a room, leaving audiences wanting more.
The Fabulous Fan Dancers
The Fabulous Fan Dancers are a professional performance troupe who have been developing for four years and are inspired to use fan veils (fans with 1.5 metres of silk attached) and feather fans (large ostrich feather fans) in a wide range of creative and unique ways and takes influence from bellydance, fire twirling, classic burlesque and more.
Their fun choreographies and professional manner have seen the troupe headline at festivals and shows across Australia!
Miki, Jazida & Sara
Sara Martini, Jazida and Miki Minx have been dancing together every week for the past four years!
In collaboration together, they are fusing all the incredible traits each has to bring to the table. Merging together an undulating menace, a pinch of resting bitch face, a dash of glamour and ass that won't quit… this is one cup that certainly runneth over
Their love of flipping fans, tricky technique and rabble rousing has seen them tour across Australia as leaders of of the Fabulous Fan Dancing Troupe and also as well established soloists in their on right
All three of these dancers have been finalists in Miss Burlesque ACT, toured to the Adelaide Fringe Festival and headlined at shows such as Decadence and Debauchery
