Thomas Bleach Presents Damaged Goods LIVE
Debut stand-up comedy headlining show by Thomas Bleach to celebrate the release of his book Damaged Goods
'Damaged Goods' is the debut book from 25 year old stand up comedian, writer and music reviewer, Thomas Bleach. This collection of short stories and experiences sees him reflecting on feeling like “damaged goods” as he explores growing up in a homophobic family, coming to terms with sexuality, bullying, coming out, falling in love, heartbreak, breaking legs overseas and mental health.
With the release of the book being exclusively done independently through online mediums, he's created a unique interactive experience that has resonated with an audience of all ages.
Bringing this book to the live stage, Thomas Bleach will be debuting a 60 minute stand up comedy headline show at Heya Bar in Brisbane on 12 September 2019 which will see him exploring the gritty details of the chapters and telling the stories that he couldn't put in the book. This is promised to be an hilarious and thought evoking show that is the perfect mix of feel-good and self-reflection.
Thomas Bleach has been performing as a stand up comedian in the local Brisbane comedy scene for the past two years performing at bars and venues across the city. He also performed a show at Comedy U in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2018 which was his first international performance. He was also nominated for Entertainer Of The Year for the 2019 Queens Ball.
This show coincides with Brisbane's Pride Month and is another unique representation of Queer entertainment and queer stories taking to the stage.
