From 10pm ‘til late on Friday and Saturday nights during the festival, Mary’s Underground is transformed into an intimate cabaret club. Your lovable uber-diva host Trevor Ashley has curated a program of acclaimed headliners alongside top flight jazz, cabaret, burlesque and comedy acts. He’ll leave the Stage Door ajar in case special guests drop by for an impromptu jam. Expect unexpected live performances until the wee hours. Snuggle into the cosiest place in town and take your Vivid trip to the next level – subterranean style. 

Award-winning singer and cabaret queen Paul Capsis is one of Australia's most versatile performers and a familiar presence on stage and screen. His extensive career ranges across theatre, live concerts, cabaret, television, and film. Having notched up multiple Helpmann Awards, globe-trotted the festival circuit, collaborated with luminaries near and far, and masterminded original works, Paul graces us with his nocturnal best. Expect wild antics from this gifted creative supremo.
