Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice began his career in 1991 with indie-rock band Juniper. After the group disbanded in 1998, Rice traveled around Europe for the next year before returning to Dublin to pursue a solo career. Over the course of his career Rice has released Three full-length albums, two live recordings and an EP. He is best known for his 2002 debut O which was certified Gold in the U.S., selling approximately two million copies worldwide, and featuring the songs “Volcano,” “Cannonball,” and “Blower’s Daughter,” the central pieces of music in Mike Nichols’ Oscar-nominated film Closer. My Favourite Faded Fantasy is Rice’s most recent album released in 2015 and was produced by Rick Rubin and Rice.

“Singer-songwriter Damien Rice has fine-tuned the art of delivering his ardent, lovelorn folk gems to maximum heartrending effect.” His songs will be around forever!– Rolling Stone
