The Seven Ups come to Hobart

Melbourne’s heavy groove combo The Seven Ups are hitting the road to launch their 5th studio album, A Free Blowing Wind.

The bands new album is a deep dive in to the lesser-known-places of instrumental music. Singles: Old World Monkeys and Monoliths are a mature take on the bands classic heavy-funk sound that has seen them become stalwarts on the Melbourne music scene over the last 13 years. Meanwhile, the band stretches out on the long-form instrumental tracks A Free Blowing Wind and A Cosmic Scale, taking listeners on a meandering journey from deep psychedelic grooves, to lush plateaus and onwards to aggressive fuzz rock.

Special guests on the night are Tassie locals, Meres.

Music commences 9.30pm
