Dr Sure’s Unusual Practice have persistently brought something unusual to our music community; Their wire-y, danceable post-punk; their absurd, surrealist art and videos; their vitalising live performances. It’s no wonder Rolling Stone dubbed them “one of the most important bands in Melbourne”.
 
We can hardly be surprised that when asked to jump on this date at BB they’ve whipped up ‘a show fit for a ballroom’. The first annual Odd Ball. A homecoming for the hysterical, a debutante for dummies, a graduation for grifters, a prom for the peculiar. Whatever you want to call it, it’s a good excuse to wear that extravagant thing you never get an excuse to wear. Or just come as you, a person. Odd!
 
There will be Smooch (the band) & potential consensual smooching! There will be Ouzo (the band) & also the liquor! There will be Cable Ties (the DJ), slow dances and singalongs. There will be vinyl giveaways: homecoming kween, worst dressed etc; maybe some spiked punch? And there will be Dr Sure’s Unusual Practice.

TICKETING INFO 

Brunswick Ballroom will be operating under the current Victorian State Government guidelines as we continue to live with this pandemic. 

The venue will be taking a number of precautionary measures to ensure patron safety, including:
 - Hand sanitiser dispensers
 - Signage and social distancing markers throughout the venue
 - Regular sanitising of the venue and full clean between sittings

The Brunswick Ballroom also strives to improve our practices when it comes to sustainability and to reduce our carbon footprint. We don’t sell or provide plastic water bottles.
