The Dirty Ragtimers are vocalist and violinist Heather Stewart and finger-picking guitarist Lucas Montagnier's new Paris-based band playing ragtime, blues, jazz, country and gospel. Heather returns to Australia for an April Aussie tour and a very special Melbourne event at The Spotted Mallard - Wednesday 11 April.

The night will include Heather's beloved folk band The Bloomin Heathers featuring Jim Green, Ewen Baker playing a solo set at 8pm from his beautiful folk fiddle album and the final set by The Dirty Ragtimers. This band is making waves in Paris with crafted harmonies, finger-picking guitar, guitar and violin arrangements and a broad but focused repertoire from the beginning of the 20th century.

Ewen Baker's superlative and masterful folk tunes will be followed by original songs and well loved, quality folk music with a good dose of humour by Jim Green, Ewen Baker and Heather Stewart's Bloomin Heather's band. The final cookin' set will be the The Dirty Ragtimers before they hit they head outa town northwards.

The Dirty Ragtimers play classic American music from the early 20th Century. Bringing quality finger-picking blues, hot/swing jazz, ragtime, country and gospel together to satisfy audiences as it did decades ago. The Ragtimers and Bloomin Heathers write arrangements, original songs and sing sweet harmonies to create something truly new from quality old craftsmanship growing them dedicated local and international fans.

Since relocating to Paris in 2016, Heather Stewart is forming new collaborations with musicians from around the world and performing at renowned Paris venues Boeuf sur le Toit, Caveau de la Huchette (La La Land), La Bellevilloise, La Coupole, Le Bal Blomet and more. Heather's passion for great jazz and blues has been further inspired playing in some of Paris's best jam sessions with musicians from all over the world. The Dirty Ragtimers have a weekly residency in Montmartre's famous bar Chez Camille and perform at venues and parties across Paris and France.
