Sydney based grunge band The Dead Love can be described as nothing less than incendiary.

Since their inception, The Dead Love have maintained a blistering rate of pace, touring relentlessly and honing their signature sound that has captured hearts and minds across Australia and now internationally with a quickly growing fan base in Canada and beyond .

Whilst developing a reputation as one of Sydney's most impressive, no-nonsense live outfits, The Dead Love have shared stages locally and abroad with the likes of Dune Rats, The Smith Street Band, Everclear (USA), British India, The Lazy's, Aerosmith (USA), Kingswood, The Delta Riggs, The Shrine (USA), Luca Brasi, Grim Skunk (Canada), Born Lion, Buckcherry (USA), just to name a diverse few.

The band has received subsequent airplay and support from Triple J, FBi Radio, Triple M, 3RRR, 4ZZZ, PBS FM, Home Brew Radio (77+ Stations Nationally), as well as international radio in the USA, UK, Canada and New Zealand and television coverage from Video Hits, Channel V and Rage.

In early 2016 the band went into the studio to write and record their second album So Whatever.

Whilst Transitions was a diverse album spanning multiple genres and experimenting with instrumentation, So Whatever saw the band get back to basics, both in terms of songwriting and the recording process. There's a cohesiveness and intensity to this album which is derived from the band's DIY approach. The entire album was written, recorded and produced by Stevie and Clint, with a clear creative vision: it has to be honest, to the point and just fucking fun.

Paying homage to the 90's, So Whatever encapsulates the bands DNA, inspired by their early grunge and power-pop influences. This is the reason they started playing music in the beginning.

Featuring 'Wastelands', 'Love Drugs' and the most recent single, 'Summer', this album feels acutely personal and yet part of something much bigger.

"The Dead Love's new single 'Wastelands' is a god damned Eden of grunge music" - HHHHappy

"The song's power-pop hooks catapult grunge into the 2010's and soundtrack the counterculture of a locked-out Sydney, where live music has been forced into backyards and messy house parties that spill out onto the streets. We could have a fully-fledged revival on our hands here people. Better dust off the old flanno" - Musicfeeds

"For a much satisfying dose of grungy power pop, we turn to Sydney's The Dead Love and their first single of the year, Wastelands. The Dead Love takes me back to the scuzzy 90 s with the growler of a track Weezer punk with a thick Soundgarden griminess. It's no surprise the infectious rocker has already claimed a number 1 spot on Australia's Triple J Unearthed Punk Charts" - IHeartMoosiq

Since becoming one of the most talked about bands at Canadian Music Week (CMW) 2016, The Dead Love have just penned a Canadian management deal with with the team from heavy weights RPM Promotions.

The Dead Love, a grunge/punk trio...Their genuine gratitude and excitement to be playing across the world translated naturally into their performances, turning bystanders into fans with each note they hit. NORTHERN TRANSMITTIONS

The show stopper of the showcase (Aussie BBQ) had to be The Dead Love...rowdy, loud and full of enough grit to leave the audience breathless and screaming for just one more song. JESUS SISTER

The Dead Love, at the Horseshoe Tavern as part of the Aussie BBQ's CMW Showcase. Our first time enjoying the band live, there was not one thing about their performance that wasn't utterly satisfying. Pure Grain Audio
