THE CAT EMPIRE
The Cat Empire will head out on the road in March to test drive new songs in a live setting at the Prince Bandroom.
The Cat Empire have been keeping quite since returning from overseas touring this year. They have been writing and recording a new album with Producer Jan Skubiszewski in their home town of Melbourne. Word is that the new album heralds the same spirit which originally attracted a massive world wide legion of fans to the band. The new tracks are dancey and upbeat, and due for release in May 2013. Ahead of the album release, The Cat Empire will head out on the road in March to test drive the new songs in the live setting. This will be the first time these songs will be played publicly. No doubt the band will throw a few old favourites into the set list too. The band is playing intimate club shows to fans in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with a very limited number of tickets going on sale. Fans under 18 years will also have the chance to see the band in Brisbane and Sydney. These events will be strictly for people under the age of 18. Touring with the band on this run is the fabulous band known as FLAP!
Note from the band: "$1 from every tik sold for our Nov tour will go toward the cancer treatment costs of an amazing saxophonist and very special friend of ours who really needs our help to access the treatment he needs."
