The combined musical prowess of Tex Perkins (The Cruel Sea, Beasts of Bourbon), Don Walker (Cold Chisel) and Charlie Owen - Tex, Don and Charlie - will undoubtedly bring a night of guaranteed entertainment to Twilight at Taronga.

Performing off the back of their sublime third album You Don't Know Lonely, Tex, Don and Charlie's career as a trio has spanned nearly 25 years. One thing you can rely on as the years wind by is that if it's been a decade and a bit since the last Tex, Don and Charlie album, then it must be time for a new one.

Tex, Don and Charlie's spectacular debut album release in 1993, titled Sad But True, is regarded as one of the greatest Australian albums ever released. Sad But True spent 6 weeks in the Top 40, and was followed in 2005 with All is Forgiven, a gripping collection of 12 evocative stories in song from the masters of the form.

You Don't Know Lonely has garnered fantastic 4+ star reviews and debuted at #14 on the ARIA Album Chart. Its release was followed by a 26-date tour including 19 SOLD OUT shows across Australia.

With The Guardian calling the You Don't Know Lonely "a magnificent slab of Australiana" and The Music saying, "Tex, Don & Charlie revel in one of the most enjoyable paradoxes possible in music: their skills are near unparalleled" then we know it's going to be a show not to miss!

Hailing from regional Victoria, Indigenous singer/songwriter Benny Walker will be supporting the trio making his Twilight at Taronga debut at the final show of the season. His voice and epic tales are mixed with a deep groove and passion for the land. Recent offerings SAVE and Oh No You Don't shot to No. 1 on the AMRAP charts; the latter earning him four NIMA 2016 nominations and the award for "Best Aboriginal Talent" at The Age Music Victoria Awards.
