Picture this: a single disturbance causing a chain reaction that reverberates through different parts of a complex system. It’s not just a concept; the ripple effect can be seen in fields like finance, technology, law, agriculture, history, community development, conservation, the arts, and tourism.

Imagine how a small shift in one area can have a mighty impact across many others.

So, if you’re excited about the power of ideas, if you’re intrigued by the potential of small actions creating big waves, then TEDxHobart is the place to be. Join us in exploring the incredible stories of how tiny ripples created right here in Tasmania are shaping our world in astonishing ways.

The day includes entertainment, activities, performances and food and drinks.

A TEDx is not just an event or a ‘conference’. It’s an experience where you can hear, share, learn and connect with incredible people in our community.

Catering is provided on the day so you won’t get hungry or thirsty.

We acknowledge and respect the palawa people as the traditional and ongoing owners of the skies, land, and water of Lutruwita. We pay our respects to their elders both past and present and acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded.

We believe in safe and positive spaces where all people are welcome and respected. If you experience or see something that doesn’t look right, please report it to one of our friendly staff.

The venue is fully accessible with seats available for patrons with mobility issues and reserved areas for wheelchairs. If you require assistance, please make contact via Moshtix here or the Odeon Facebook page before purchasing tickets, our venue staff will be happy to assist.

If you hold a government-issued Companion Card for people with disabilities who require a companion and are purchasing a full-priced ticket to our event, you may be eligible for one free ticket for your companion, please contact Moshtix here.
