Teddy Rizzo will be making their way to Brisbane as part of their "Desert Ghost Tour"

Based in Sydney's Inner West, instrumental duo Teddy Rizzo keep it simple and do things on their terms. Taking an alternative approach on the expectations of a rock band, Teddy Rizzo strips it back to what’s most important, the music.

“Teddy Rizzo’s love for the technicians of rock screams through in this collection of instrumental pieces taken from his ‘Wai Kei’ EP. The Tom Morello influence is strong, but that precision is happily loosened and unspooled, occasionally venturing into full-on Bob Mould chord-mania. Accompanied only by cheerfully demented drumming, this is as stripped-back as it gets, but it’s as rich and wide-ranging as most ‘full’ bands.” - The Underground Stage (AUS)

I rate it, feels like a smooth cone. Manages to have enough going on to keep my attention despite the lack of vocals.” - Lochlan Watt, Triple J (AUS)

Their debut EP "Wai Kei" is out now.

Formed like most Aussie bands in a generic outer suburban garage in early 2019, the band consists of Lauchy on vocals and rhhythm guitar, Samm on lead guitar, Benny on bass, and Dan on drums.

Their sound is equal parts sunny beaches and Millennial angst, with the boys drawing from multiple sources of inspiration to create a groovy yet powerful sound.

The influences of bands like Sticky Fingers, the Pixies and Arctic Monkeys stand out loud and clear in their debut single “Peach Street.”
