From the far north of Australia in Darwin lies Tapestry, a young five-piece who formed in the middle of 2014 and wasted little to no time establishing themselves as a national presence. The group exploded after their response from their first-show supporting Storm the Sky in March of that year and, quickly followed it up with a north-Queensland tour in June under the moniker ‘Territory Goes Coastal’.

After releasing their first single ‘Bond’ in September of 2015, the group caught the attention of the public eye around Australia raking up support slots for Northlane and the annual festival ‘Terrorfest’.

Their debut 2016 EP ‘Growth’ was recorded in Darwin by Australian producer Declan White, and it quickly reached number 4 on the iTunes Metal charts. ‘Growth’ is a blend of melodic and post hard-core with a lot of ‘space’ according to Darwin’s media outlet Foldback Magazine “Tapestry bring the cosmic nod in droves. And the way their songs have so much space in them lends itself to anyone hearing them to nod right along. I can’t mention the space in Tapestry’s work enough”.

After the release of Growth, Tapestry embarked on an east coast tour showcasing the EP in its entirety supporting bands such as The Brave and Advocates. The response by fans around this release has opened doors including their appearance on Darwin’s biggest music festival BASSINTHEGRASS 2016 alongside Violent Soho and Angus & Julia Stone and also including multiple support shows locally and interstate supporting bands such as Polaris and Hellions.

The band have won multiple awards including the 2016 NT Heavy Song of the Year award for their track ‘Bond’, 2016 NT Live Act of the Year for the National Live Music Awards and have showcased at Australia’s biggest music conference BIGSOUND 2016.

Since the release of their sophomore EP ‘Ghost of Me’ the group have been a part of a completely sold out Australian tour supporting Sydney based group Polaris, Sold out the Darwin Entertainment Centre on August 4th for their hometown EP Launch show, Signed a management deal with Backbone Bookings and reached multiple streaming milestones such as reaching over 300,000 streams on Spotify alone.

Tapestry – Ghost of Me is out now via iTunes, Apple Music & Spotify.
