Electronic/jazz/rock/new music heavyweights join forces for an explosive double-bill

Tangents, Sydney improv scene stalwarts since 2010, explore a style of post-produced live improvisation that mark out the group’s distinct blend of electronic, jazz, rock and new music-inspired styles. Amidst other international recognition, New Bodies was nominated for the Australian Music Prize in 2018. Their latest release Timeslips & Chimeras continues their studio recording journey after a detour into intensive live performance and a major digital art installation, Spiral, at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney. The recent record continues their relationship with New York label Temporary Residence through the challenges of music production in the Covid-19 era. Double vinyl finally available for sale at the gigs!

Free floating new jazz…absolutely mind-blowing, it really is just wild, isn’t it?” Mary Anne Hobbs, BBC Music.

...you’re sucked inside a sound world where organic and robotic elements cohabit with improbable collegiality” John Shand’s review of Timeslips in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Project Infinity is the latest brain-child from genre-bending saxophonist Jeremy Rose. Intent on exploring the post-jazz, post-everything sound world, they create an exciting fresh perspective on music from torchbearers The Necks and Tangents, drawing upon elements of spiritual jazz, abstract soundscapes, and future soul. Assembled for a special event at Phoenix Central Park Performance Space in 2021, the group had immediate chemistry, featuring Rose alongside keys player Novak Manojlovic, drummer Tully Ryan and electronic artist Ben Carey. Symptoms of Our Age is the first single from their upcoming album release, Project Infinity: Live at Phoenix Central Park. "To let one’s self go and be totally in the moment can feel like you’re free falling, free falling towards infinity” Jeremy Rose

"…hell bent on pushing the very definition of jazz. NYC Jazz Records
