James Ellis and the Jealous Guys celebrate 50 years of the Byrds’ seminal country rock album, Sweetheart of the Rodeo.
In 1968, the Byrds released Sweetheart of the Rodeo to little fanfare. Fifty years on, the record is considered a seminal country rock album blending country, folk, rock and soul. After a standout performance of the whole album at Out on the Weekend 2018, James Ellis and the Jealous Guys return to the Spotted Mallard on Saturday 8 December 2018 to play the album from start to finish. On the night they’ll be joined by a number of very special guests to make this one of the tribute events of the year.
