Susan O'Neill - SON
DOORS OPEN 6PM // MUSIC STARTS 6.30PM
Described by Rhythms Magazine as having “pipes that would give Janice Joplin a run for her money”, SON is one not to miss!
Hailing from Co. Clare, Ireland, SON's (aka Susan O’Neill) soulful and husky-voiced live performances are truly mind-blowing. The amazing range of her gritty vocals and a highly emotional charged approach makes for a truly unforgettable musical experience. Armed with a collection of new songs, SON has been working with revered producers and engineers over the past while working on a new body of work. From Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Bath, to John Reynolds (Sinead O’Connor, Damian Dempsey, Dido) in London and at home in SON’s native Co. Clare with Martin O’Malley at his studio in Miltown Malbay
“Music is a feeling that we can share, a feeling that can dissolve boundaries and create a unique consciousness within each different space. I try to explore this in anyway I can .” - SON
"bluesy debut...showcasing her truly phenomenal husky voice, often reminiscent of Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin or a ballsier Adele” - Hotpress
"Not only is she a powerhouse vocalist, a talented musician, she also knows how to get it down onto a track when it comes to the studio"
"If you are looking for new music then you should seek out husky singer songwriter Susan O Neill" - The Daily Mail
