As the name may suggest, six piece jazz funk instrumentalists Sunnyside are known destroyers of bad vibes and dedicated designers of the groove.

With an impressive ability to make instruments speak to each other, it doesn’t take long to lose yourself in the deep musical conversation that the band creates, combining high energy with freakishly tight performance, you’d be hard pressed to find a frown on the floor after these guys get cooking. 

Drawing inspiration from acts like BADBADNOTGOOD, EMEFE, Fela Kuti and James Brown, Sunnyside invite you on a journey of percussive and instrumentally driven odysseys always seeking to bring a smile to your face and some heat into your body.

The invigorated dance disciples have honed their skills at festivals such as Kennedy’s Creek, Strawberry Fields, Hopkins Creek and Gizzfest as well as curating residencies at Cherry Bar and The Ding Dong Lounge and with the release of the bands debut record in October Sunnyside are going from strength to strength in the summer of 2018/19.
