Subversion Jiu Jitsu presents - Paradigm.

We are bringing the heat with the first Subversion event of 2025 coming to you live from the home of Subversion - the UNSW Roundhouse in Sydney.

Subversion fans will be in for an unforgettable night of action as 40 of the top jiu-jitsu athletes from across Australia (and the globe) go head-to-head on one of the world’s biggest grappling stages! As always, every athlete will be going in there looking to blow the roof off and they need you there to show your support!

For our first show back in 2025, we have gone all out!

Our main event pits the local submission artist David Stoilescu against one of the best in the world – Gabriel Sousa. Both men are extremely dangerous and both a looking to take home the Subversion Lightweight belt!

In the co-main event for the Subversion Light Heavyweight Title, we have the highly anticipated return of Izaak Michell. As an up-and-coming purple belt, Izaak made his name by tearing through everyone on the Subversion scene but now standing in his way is Sebastian Attard. Seb is also a Subversion veteran and has been on a tear himself as of late. 

Then if that’s not enough, we have a match up of UFC legends as Richy Walsh takes on Josh ‘Kuya’ Culibao. 

We will be cranking up the excitement with halftime giveaways, brand activations, and a production experience that sets the bar for the industry—guaranteeing a show that’s as visually stunning as it is action-packed.

Whether you’re a seasoned BJJ practitioner, a passionate fan, or just there to support a friend or family member, this is an event you won't want to miss. Be there to cheer, to witness the thrills, and to experience the live action that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
