Steve Aoki is the man behind Dim Mak Records, and consequently, the man responsible for founding and releasing artists from Bloc Party to the The Bloody Beetroots, MSTRKRFT to The Gossip. The last few years have seen Aoki play mainstage slots at the biggest dance festivals around the world, that includes destroying Australias own Summaydaze Festival last year. He has became a house hold name in modern dance music, recognised with the airing of a BBC 1 Essential Mix as well as appearing in Rolling Stone and UCE. In BPM, LA Times Weekly, and many other publications, he graced the cover.

Aokis musical career started In college when Aoki produced do-it-yourself records and ran underground concerts out of the living room of his apartment in Isla Vista. By his early 20s, he had his own record company, named Dim Mak - in honor of Bruce Lee, his childhood hero. He has also teamed up with Blake Miller of the LA -based band Moving Units to produce remixes. The duo of Miller and Aoki work under the moniker Weird Science.

As of 2008 Aoki started producing on his own and to date has remixed artists such as The Bloody Beetroots, Boys Noize, DIM, The Killers, The All American Rejects, and Timbaland. His Radio 1 Essential Mix aired August 2nd, 2008, and with that, Steve Aokis star kept on rising. Slots at Coachella and LA'S Hard Fest followed.

Aoki's most recent moves involve him doning the producer hat once more for his own single named "Im In The House" Ft raps by the mysterious Zuper Blahq. This, Steves debut single, is the follow up to a horde of high profile remixes, and collaborations with artists from Boys Noize to Tiga. Hitting Australias festival circuit last year, Aoki is now back on his own headline tour of the country.

Also involved in fashion The Dim Mak Collection clothing line was launched in 2006, Aoki has developed lines for KR3W Apparel, Supra Footwear, and in 09 sunglasses with KSUBI, headwear with NEFF, bags with Burton, as well as headphones for WESC. The smash mixtape "Pillowface and His Airplane Chronicles" dropped in 2008, the same year he featured in NBA 2K8 as a celebrity player. In 2009. With accolades such as Best Dj of the Year from Paper Magazine, and Best Set of the Season by Ibiza Awards, and covers of BMP Magazine, the LA Times and Status, Steves continues to hold his place as the one of the most exciting DJs in the world.
