I’m feeling supersonic give me gin n’ tonic! Step On’s 3rd Birthday Party is upon us and we have another belter of a line up in store for you. For this one we’re bringing you Australia’s original and best Oasis tribute band Shakerfaker! This year marks 25 years since Oasis’ classic debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ was released, to which the band will be playing the whole album in full plus a fine selection of Oasis classics. The good news doesn’t stop there - supporting Shakerfaker on the night are Sydney’s most exciting up and coming Madchester/Electronic mash up Dress Thèque. The Dress Thèque lads have just recently completed a mini tour of Australia and deliver with shades of Primal Scream, Happy Mondays, Ian Brown and more. Step On DJ’s will be providing support either side of the bands and the party will be kicking on until 3am in the Oxford Art Factory main room. Dress Theque

Drawing on Manchester-esq flavours of trip-hop & dance-rock, Dress Thèque came to public attention in 2017 with their synth pop debut ‘Landslide’. The track paved the way for the band to lean into their British influences and follow in suit of bands like The Stone Roses and The Happy Mondays. Releasing their follow up single ‘Football Music’ in 2018, the band caught the eye of record label Viscera Arts and have just released their third single ‘Gone Mad’. Dress Thèque have just completed a tour of east coast and have also worked closely with ex Oasis band member Andy Bell on the production of their music. Catch these boys whilst you can before they hit the big stage!

Step On’ is Sydney’s Authentic Madchester, Brit-Pop, Indie and Alternative Club Night. Founded in June 2016, the event has established itself as a popular club night sharing the love for one of Britain’s greatest eras for music.

‘Step On’ continues to bring people together from all across Sydney and Melbourne to celebrate a youth culture that took the UK by storm during the 1980’s through to the late 90’s - when bands like The Smiths, Joy Division, The Stone Roses, Happy Monday’s and Oasis dominated the music scene.
