If you're into awesome music that eludes the mainstream, you'll be into Speak Satellite: Rad - an event that showcases virtuosic artists who have torn up their sheet music and taken to the wild.

After last years intoxicating, stimulating and ultimately successful 3-night brand launch extravganza featuring Triple J favourite Wallace and heavyweight producer Godriguez, Speak Satellite returns as part of the Wollongong Fringe 2018 at the more intimate setting of RadBar in downtown Wollongong.

The music on offer will be no less fascinating though.

Ditch-crossing collaborators, ANTIPODES (NZ/AUS) will play as part of tour to promote their new album - a dynamic quintet of ANZAC virtuosos drawing from diverse influences such as Swedish indie pop and European art music that will deliver a set of danceable beats, songlike melodies and timbral improvisations.

Also on the bill will be Sydney trio JETRIO. This triumvirate synthesize a wide spectrum of styles including ambience, minimalism and popular song. Whether providing the musical backdrop for your contemplation or bringing you to your feet with propulsive rhythms, their holistic approach to instrumental music will be enthralling.
