Established in Perth, Western Australia in 2010, Tired Lion channels the essence of '90s alt-rock through guitar-driven, gutsy blasts of indie rock. Lead by songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Sophie Hopes, the band centres on Hopes’ fearless wail and no-holds-barred, heart-on-her-sleeve, trademark lyricism.

Tired Lion debuted with the 2013 EP All We Didn’t Know and rose to prominence with 2015’s Figurine EP, which featured the breakout single I Don’t Think You Like Me. In 2015, Tired Lion took out the triple j Unearthed Artist of the Year Award and West Australian Music Industry Awards for Best Rock Act (2015, 2016) and Best EP (2015). Over the next few years, Tired Lion toured extensively both in Australia and abroad, including performances at premier festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Glastonbury, Homebake, Groovin' the Moo, Falls Festival, Southbound, Reading and Leeds and Primavera Sound.

In September 2017, Tired Lion released their debut album - the critically acclaimed, triple j feature album Dumb Days - produced by Luke Boerdam of Violent Soho. In November 2018, following countless live shows, Tired Lion dropped the standalone single, With Or Without. With Or Without quickly distinguished itself as one of the best singles of the band’s career; laden with hooks and addictively crunchy guitar lines, with Boerdam adding sweeping, atmospheric production.

Tired Lion have evolved into one of the most formidable and ferocious rock acts in the country, touring relentlessly and bringing their special brand of controlled chaos to anyone and everyone willing to listen. Between live shows, Hopes continues to write material for Tired Lion’s anticipated sophomore album.
