The mystical Glass Beams will radiate their unique brand of serpentine jazz & disco psychedelia at Howler for their first headline show. With an inclination for cosmic  instrumentation, eastern scales and kraut pervaded polyrhythms, Glass Beams will  perform songs from their lauded ‘Mirage’ EP, as well as many unreleased  compositions that lend from a profusion of sounds and influences.

“My father was born and raised in India, and in searching for new energy and  inspiration to write music, I dug around for music from my father’s hometown and  surrounding areas. I found a wealth of 70’s era Indian classical, disco and pop music  that formed the inspirational building blocks for this record. As soon as I had that  vision of what I wanted to write and why I wanted to write it, the songs just flowed  out" – Glass Beams

Upon release, Glass Beams debut record ‘Mirage’ oozed onto the turntables of Gilles  Peterson, The Gaslamp Killer, Trevor Jackson, NTS & Rhythm Section DJ’s and  featured on BBC6’s ‘Fantastic Beats’ segment. This support culminated in the  standout track ‘Taurus’ being included on the Grammy nominated Jayda G’s lauded  ‘DJ Kicks’ release, with NME proclaiming Glass Beams as ‘An Essential Emerging  Artist’ for 2022.

After debuting live in March 2022, a short span of 3 weeks saw the enigmatic trio  debut at WOMADelaide, mesmerise crowds with stand out performances at  Strawberry Fields & Hopkins Creek, and pack out Northside Records on Record Store  Day with a that left punters flowing out onto the street.

We may not know much about the enigmatic Glass Beams but ‘Mirage’ is one epic  inauguration, leaving the listener with more questions than answers.
