Skegss have partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket will go to The Mark Hughes Foundation to fund research, raise awareness, and support brain cancer patients and their families. www.markhughesfoundation.com.au

PLUS1 is an initiative that channels the collective energy of a concert to catalyze social change. By partnering with performing artists, PLUS1 raises and grants millions of dollars to high impact nonprofits addressing our most serious global challenges around Access, Equity, and Dignity. The work begins with a $1 per ticket add-on that makes fundraising simple and seamless. Beyond the dollar, PLUS1 supports artists as educators and advocates, fueling their passion, reach, impact. To date, PLUS1 has raised and granted over $6 million, and served as the connective tissue between over 75 artists, millions of their fans, and 100s of leading social justice organizations tackling global injustice.

Fresh from their epic Splendour In The Grass festival set, Skegss have today announced they'll be hitting the road on their My Own Mess National Tour in support of their debut album My Own Mess, which will be released on Friday September 7th on Ratbag Records.

Joining the boys on the road will be US special guests Twin Peaks, and the boys couldn't be happier. "It's going to be the biggest and best yet for us, it is our Album Tour and we just can't believe we conned the American guys Twin Peaks into joining us on it." The full list of dates can be found below.

My Own Mess features 15 brand new tracks showcasing Skegss' brilliant brand of garage punk, and includes the albums first two singles Up In The Clouds and Smogged Out which have both received strong support from Triple J and community radio right across Australia.

After selling out tours across the country, the band have made a name for themselves with energetic, ripping live performances, garnering praise from The Music for their "infectious" on-stage chemistry and Moshcam who asserted they "seem to have some sort of hypnotic effect over their fans." Along with Splendour In The Grass, Skegss have played at festivals across the country and overseas including sold out headline shows.
