Brisbane based Shag Rock, the lovable livers of life, are back with a taste of their most substantial body of work yet. The indie surf-pop 4-piece burrowed their heads into isolation after selling out shows across sunny Australia and New Zealand, amassing over 14 million streams on ‘Sunbleached Girl’ and 32+ million streams worldwide. The dedicated group of lifelong mates are now emerging into the glow after spending months on end in the recording studio. This comes with the release of their first five singles of 2021 with ‘Flicker’, 'Creaky Minds','Golden Lungs', 'April Nights' and 'Wild Thing' – as they enter a new era of maturity.

Since the release of their debut full-length album Barefoot (2017), Shag Rock have toured the USA, embarked on multiple headline tours locally and across the ditch, and subsequently amassed a passionately loyal fan-base. Over the past 3 years, the comfortably dishevelled group of Alex Wilson, Jacob Reed, Nick Cavdarski and Max Beech have had their heads buried deep in the lyric books. Working with producer Ian Haug (Powderfinger, The Church) and signed to his label Airlock Records; they are finally ready to share their art. They've also recently picked up Tayla Young, an artist in her own right, to play shows and bring her pure good vibes to the mix.

The band has an ability to write music that spans generations. They have lodged a special place in the hearts of Australian music-lovers, and hope to edge more feels with the release of their most profound body of work; as Shag Rock tour their sophomore album
