SEMPLESIZE BLOCK PARTY
FEAT. BANOFFEE, MILWAUKEE BANKS, HOUSE OF LAURENCE AND MORE TBA...
On Sunday the 7th of December, when Melbourne's bi-polar weather cycle has classically been known to swing dramatically from Winter into scorching Summer, rising stars of the Australian music blog scene, Melbourne's own SEMPLESIZE are poised to throw a New York style Block Party at Howler, Brunswick that promises to be the "Sunday Sesh" of the season.
Only just approaching their second year, SEMPLESIZE has fast-established their brand as a barometer of good taste in music via a consistently high standard of music journalism and a visually stunning aesthetic which has seen them nominated as finalists in Pedestrian's 2014 'Blogster' Awards in the highly competitive category of music as well as recent recipients of an invitation to join VICE Magazine's elite international blogging network.
In the spirit of collaborating with fellow taste-making kin at this bespoke event, SEMPLESIZE have teamed up with a slew of equally cool-brow titles including their musical cousins in Sydney, The Interns, the ever-styling' Spook Magazine, fashion and sustainability conscious Hessian Magazine, Melbourne music media institution Beat Magazine and newcomers to the locally-brewed alcoholic ice-tea market Trumpeter's.
A daytime affair that kicks off at 1pm at Melbourne's premiere new music and haute-drinking emporium Howler in Brunswick, SEMPLESIZE Block Party will boast an extensive line-up of music and select cultural activities that the gang at SEMPLESIZE are choosing to remain tight-lipped about until closer to the date. They have however revealed that the music stylings of one of 2014's chief It Girls, Banoffee, front-runners of the new guard of Aussie Hip-Hop Milwaukee Banks and indie stalwarts House of Laurence will feature on the day (with many more to be announced soon!)
