It has been nearly 3 years since The Screaming Jets have graced or disgraced, if you like, the stages of Australia. People have been screaming out for The Jets to return and light up the stage with a ferocity other bands can only imagine, and as of November 29 the wait will be over.
The Screaming Jets are getting ready to embark on their first National tour in ages , and judging by the venues chosen for the next great assault, this is going to be huge.
Playing songs that have been crafted by the band and loved by fans and critics around the world, the boys cannot wait to get back on the boards to rock out with the faithful in a fashion that only the great pub rock alumni of Australia are accustomed
To get the ball rolling again in 2013, The Jets are releasing a compilation of their favourite covers recorded throughout their nearly 25 year history. Whether it's an out and out salute to some of the great rock songs of the years or a tongue in cheek crack at a Celine Dion classic, the songs are attacked by the Jets in a way that makes them all their own.
Gearing up for massive celebrations that will see the band reach the quarter century milestone in 2014 with yet another studio album and extensive touring plans for the latter half of next year, the boys can't think of a better way to connect with their legion of fans, than by giving them the greatest Rock n Roll party they have ever witnessed, complete with Jets classics such as Better, Helping Hand, October Grey; as well as ball tearing covers from the Sex Pistols and Dead Kennedy's, AC DC, Johnny Cash and Slim Dusty and heaps of stuff in between.
In a world awash with talent quest winners and stuttering teenagers, The Jets are the real deal. Raw power unleashed on a crowd of true rockers ready for the night of their lives.
Welcome Back Boys.
