Sams Commune is a blues rock, Latin soul, fusion jazz rock, jam band project conceived by Ben Chakravorty. The music of this band is heavily influenced by Santana, The Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, The Band, Miles Davis, Maha Vishnu Orchestra, John Coltrane, and many other classics.

The rhythm section layered with Drums bass and Latin percussions and Conga is a blast of rhythm and groove, couple that with a 3 piece Brass wind Horn section, Sams Commune’s rhythm section will surely make you dance and sweat. When it comes to the melody section, the unmistakably classic sound of the Hammond organ through a Leslie speaker cabinet is played by one of Sydney’s best organists, Bill Ferguson. And lastly, on guitar its Australian Guitar Magazine featured blues rock guitarist and slide player Ben Chakravorty.
