Sam McNally - a veteran of the Australian music industry, from Stylus, Marcia Hines and Doug Williams - has played the piano, electric piano and keyboards for 7/8ths of his life. He spent many years in Tommy Emmanuel’s band and remains a friend and colleague to this day. Guitar/vocal “gun” Eric Rasmussen was a member of "Heatwave" (whose Rod Temperton wrote several killer hits for a guy named Michael Jackson).

The SMG have appeared many many times at LazyBones, in different editions. This time, Sam leads his quartet comprising Eric Rasmussen, ace drummer Dave Plenty and special guest, bassist supremo Dauno Martinez through a mix of funky/jazzy instrumentals and well-known soul, rock and pop vocal songs. ALL of it fun and lively. 

Guesting with them is singer/song-writer Chris E Thomas, who has worked with Bachelor Girl, Tina Arena and Billy Thorpe, among many more premium artists. Chris E's single "Workin’" was honoured at the Canberra Country Music Awards receiving the award for Best National Country Honky Tonk and the award for Best National Country Swing.
