Set for release on Friday 22nd November, ‘Dojo Daze’ is the third single to be released from S.J. Smith’s upcoming debut album. Combining Smith’s charmingly nonchalant vocals, lush saxophone breaks and percussive breakdowns, the Melbourne-based artist’s latest offering is catchy, propulsive and, at times, downright funky.

The unreleased album has already gained some early industry praise, after recently securing 6th place in Happy Mag’s 2019 Needle In the Hay Competition, judged from over 1,000 entries.

S.J. Smith is also gearing up for his long-overdue return to the stage on the 17th of December at The Gasometer Upstairs. Spending the last couple of years quietly exploring areas outside of his regular brand of indie-rock, Smith is ready to hit the stage once again with a new 5-piece band. The event is set to be an intimate and special night featuring local talent, Lewis Coleman and Taylah Carroll.
