Romanie is Belgian born, Melbourne based singer-songwriter Romanie Assez. With her honest and intimate songs, she brings you melancholic and sometimes personal topics written from her new home base. A dreamy, fragile sound paired with authentic songwriting and soothing vocals. Inspired by musical muses such as Middle Kids, Phoebe Bridgers, Billie Marten and Lucy Rose - Romanie performs live with her 4 piece band and always aims to be direct and personal through songwriting, exploring topics such as anxiety, self development, hope and friendship.

“Ethereal and melodic with the sort of songwriting prowess that makes you feel privileged to even be listening to such a composition, 'Stranger In My Skin' is the sort of song that stays with you long after it has stopped playing.” - Rolling Stone Australia

“Romanie’s vocals are pure and direct. The lyrics are poignant, the melody gorgeous and the song has an appealing honesty to it. The production is confident and assured, with her captivating vocals gliding above the strident percussion. They work together in tandem seamlessly.” - The AU Review

“Warm, soulful and intrinsically beautiful Romanie’s music is guaranteed to bring you calm and joy and Little Big Steps is destined to be one of those EPs that never strays far from your playlist.” - Women In Pop

“Vulnerable and giving stuff from Romanie who is sounding so warm and comforting despite her words saying otherwise.” - Declan Byrne (Triple J)

Butternut Sweetheart is the musical project of producer and multi-instrumentalist and producer, Luke Moseley. Self described as ‘post-apocalyptic underwater indie’, Butternut Sweetheart draws inspiration from Tune-Yards, Melody’s Echo Chamber, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Radiohead. With Butternut Sweetheart’s debut EP, ‘Concrete Solid Lung’, Moseley’s diverse experience across genres and industry roles inform a distinctly unique sound; mesmerising melodic pop weaved into catchy hooks and dance-worthy beats. The EP’s lead single, ‘Bury Me’, received attention from ABC’s Richard Kingsmill and spin-time on triple j, Double J, Triple R and Sydney’s FBi Radio. In its first year, Butternut Sweetheart boasted 35 live performances including two headline tours and a national tour supporting Ball Park Music.

Butternut Sweetheart’s new single, ‘If The World Wasn’t Round’, has seen support from Declan Byrne of triple j, who’s said the “new Butternut Sweetheart reels you in with that moving push pull and lush production and it's a swirling ride that I had to go in on a few times in a row”.
