ROLLING BLACKOUTS COASTAL FEVER
2ND SHOW ANNOUNCED - SUNDAY 8 APRIL 2018
Off the back of the release of 'Mainland' - the first taste of new music in 2018 from renowned Melbourne outfit Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever - the band are excited to announce two single launch shows. Sydney fans can catch the five-piece at the Oxford Arts Factory on Friday April 6 before they play in their hometown of Melbourne on Saturday April 7 at Howler.

The single release coincided with their huge US, Canadian, UK and European tour announcement. The band will play to Sydney and Melbourne fans before heading to Nth America in April, followed by UK and Europe throughout May and June. The international run of shows now also includes festival additions Primavera and The Great Escape, as well as previously-announced billings on Coachella and Shaky Knees.
Since release, 'Mainland' has caught the attention of fans and tastemakers alike, with support from triple j, FBi, Triple R and internationally, Pitchfork, BBC 1 (Huw Stephens 'Tune of the Week'), Beats 1, BBC 6 Music & more. 'Mainland' was inspired by singer/songwriter/guitarist Tom Russo's 2017 trip to his grandparent's birthplace of the Aeolian Islands off Sicily, where at the time he was reading about a refugee crisis unfolding not far away in the Mediterranean Sea. The artist described the song as being about "longing, disillusionment, privilege and holding on to love as a kind of shield."
The band have kicked off 2018 in a big way, currently mid-way through the Laneway Festival tour. With a huge run of shows and more new music on the horizon, Rolling Blackouts C.F. show no signs of slowing down in 2018.
