GREASY TOONS FOR LAZY AFTERNOONS
Wednesday. You've thrown a leg over the hump ready to vault over the other side. Why not straddle a stool at the Lounge and spend a while? Tunes to sooth yer moods as the clatter outside concludes.
Each week we're gonna get some friends in to ramble a bit, play some records, sup some drinks and graze until our gaze softens.
THIS WEEKS SPECIAL GUEST: FIONA & THE FERRYMEN
Fiona Lee Maynard is the formidable female rocker front woman for Have A Nice Day, In Vivo, Fiona & Her Holy Men, (et al) guest singer for Jack Howard’s Epic Brass & Dalicados. A singer, composer, Recording Artist, multi-instrumentalist with 3 decades of experience, according to music critic Jeff Jenkins, she "is one of Melbourne's greatest rock chicks!”.
Fiona’s earliest musical experiences and influences revolved around folk singer/songwriters and songs from the Protest Era, her new 3-piece outfit; Fiona & The Ferrymen features James Lomas on guitar & Cal McAlpine on cahon, presenting a collection of Fiona’s newest original songs; “easy on the ear” but still with the sharp lyrical irony & inclusive heart beat.
The week weighing heavy on yer shoulders? Come plonk yer elbows at the Lounge and let's get lost for a while.
Special guests each and every week. Free entry, always.
