In celebration of her recent sold-out Sydney single launch for the latest ‘Dirty City’ , Rita B will be taking the stage with her band, Scott Piper on bass and Thomas Fijalkowski on drums. Rita B cuts a mesmerising presence on stage and her one-of-a-kind voice has to be heard to be believed.

She will be joined once again by the medieval tunes and dance of emerging Sydney group Aljamía. In addition, the ever-endearing Hedy Blaazer will be sharing the stage as a trio.

Act 1 Hedy Blaazer

Hedy Blaazer (fka h.) is a Sydney/Canberra-based singer-songwriter and guitarist. Live, she forms a trio with Marcella on the fiddle and Will on the double bass. Her lyrics are ‘honest’, ‘emotional and raw’, her music ‘unique’ and ‘genre-bending’. Her voice has been described as ‘stunning’, ‘beautifully distinct’ and ‘simply sublime’.

Act 2 Aljamía

Aljamía is a recently founded dance, fire arts and music collective inspired by medieval Europe and La Convivencia. Songs and dances from the golden age of Islam and Judaism, Christian musician kings, visionary saints, anonymous minstrels and street performers. Aljamía takes you on a journey to a forgotten and erased past of multiculturalism, wisdom and beauty.

Act 3 Rita B

Rita B is a Wollongong/Sydney-based Alt Folk artist. She’s raw and honest and makes music that is unfiltered, uncorrupted and totally unapologetic. With her debut album With Pockets Nearly Empty and A Glass Almost Full (2017) described as being "relatable, funny and just downright entertaining" (Divide and Conquer) and her single "Work" winning a place in FBi 94.5FM's top 10 most played songs in 2018, Rita B also cuts a mesmerising presence on stage and her one of a kind voice has to be heard to be believed.

Recently releasing her new single ‘Dirty City’ and currently focusing on making new material of the, Rita B will likely be carving her name well and truly beyond Sydney and Wollongong’s live music and recording scene.
