It's been a long time coming, but the debut EP from Beatnik Collective is finally here! The 6-track dance floor fire starter is out now through Cousin Will records.

To celebrate this milestone, we have partnered up with our family at Moor Music to present a club night extravaganza at the Night Cat, with some of Melbourne's finest to support us till the early morn.

Third time is the charm, right? This show is finally going ahead, wooooooo!

More about beatnik Collective -

Forming in 2018 the Collective has grown and changed to become one of the staples of Melbourne's instrumental dance scene.

Coming up supporting local legends like Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange and Horatio Luna, the Beatnik sound has refined itself into one for the AM.

Combining influences of electronica, house and jazz, Beatnik reeks of pulsing kick drums, funky bass lines and wild synth melodies.

After connecting with L.A based saxophonist Sam Gendel (Knower, Blake Mills, Pino Palladino) they recorded their house-jazz odyssey ‘Peer Pressure’ remotely in the midst of the intense Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020.

This first single from the upcoming EP ‘Collections’ has caught the attention of local and international playlisters, earning them positions on Bandcamp Weekly. Beatnik’s latest single ‘Moonee Ponds Bounce' is already servicing dance floors ahead of their debut release.

As part of our COVIDSafe plan, The Night Cat requires all ticket holders and patrons of the venue to check in using the Service Victoria App when entering the venue.

This venue will be operating under the Victorian State Government vaccination mandate. Therefore as outlined in the Victorian Roadmap, only patrons, staff and artists who are double vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to enter the venue. You will be asked to provide proof of your vaccination upon entry.
