RAT TAMANGO Album Launch
Adelaide rock and roll band Rat Tamango are finally headlining Lion Arts Factory to celebrate the release of their debut album "As I Live and Breathe" off the back of their recent singles "Well Well Well" and "Buy All You Want".
After releasing their self-titled and "Jelly Tube" EP's, the band have been hard at work recording and producing their "As I Live and Breathe" at home and in Adelaide's Twin Earth Recording studio. The album showcases Rat Tamango's unique brand of heavy blues/rock, with elements of garage, psych, delta-blues and funk.
Spending the better part of the last 6 years gigging around South Australia and interstate, Rat Tamango have built up their reputation as a committed and talented high-energy troupe. Over the past few years, RatTamango have supported the likes of The DeltaRiggs, Harts, Nick Oliveri (ex Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss), The Superjesus, and had the opportunity to jam on stage with Jeff Martin from legendary band, The Tea Party.
Joining the festivities will be Adelaide psych/rock gang of 4, Heinous Crimes as main support. Playing on many of the same bills together over the past 6 or so years, Heinous Crimes have released some of the best hypnotic Psych Rock of the past few years and have just recently brought out their own debut album "Popular Music for Popular People".
Opening the show will be new-comers to the doom/rock genre, Rocky's Pride and Joy. With the release of a fantastic run of singles, the band has become a fuzzed-out force to be reckoned with.
Brand new Rat Tamango merchandise will be available on the night including "As I Live and Breathe" on 12" classic black vinyl for purchase.
