Rapaport 'Lost in the Frequency' Single Launch
Rapaport launches new footwork-soul inspired single 'Lost in the Frequency' at the Hideaway Bar on July 8 with supports from hyped up and comers Triple One &Bowra-based MC Tasman Keith as well as single producer Kid Fiction.
In 'Lost in the Frequency', Rapaport's anxiety-drenched lyrics, combined with producer Kid Fiction's foreboding footwork drums and moody synths, explore the subterranean and the soulful. "Lost in the Frequency" describes the relentless and overwhelming nature of anxiety, detailing the rapper's personal stress and state of mind.
Renowned visual artist Daniel O'Toole (Ears) provides the mind-blending layered video for the song. Colourful liquid falls on Rapaport's head as he performs the song. Complete with superimposed images and pastel visuals, "Lost in the Frequency" describes the rapper's mind caving in on itself.
This is Rapaport's third single from his forthcoming album Village Idiot, following his SMAC award nominated "What I Got" prod by Ribongia and the grimey "FAM" featuring P.Smurf. Village Idiot will be released on Big Village Records in September 2017.
To support the release of 'Lost in the Frequency', Rapaport will embark on his largest solo tour to date, with five shows across three states.
'Lost in the Frequency' is out now through Big Village Records.
