Ramshackle Blues & Beyond | 7.30pm

Ramshackle Blues & Beyond in November 2022 after Tony and Johns jam sessions produced  a pretty good sound with their melodic and complementary  guitar styles with an emphasis on good blues grooves, infectious dance rhythms and interesting arrangements. They play well known songs that don’t have “set in stone” guitar solos and add their own mostly improvised solos as and when required in a “shared” format... both play lead and rhythm with Tony taking most of the vocals.
Tony Shergold is a “top gun” professional guitarist, bass player and singer/songwriter who has played in some of Perths finest bands since the “nineties” including The Sheds, The Hot Biscuit Band (Rick Steele) and his own bands; The Tony Shergold Band, Harpoon & Off Grid to name but a few. Tony is also an acclaimed recording engineer /producer having worked on albums for Richie Pavledis & The Hot Biscuit Band and has written, recorded and released 2 x 12 track albums (21^st Century Blues & This Enchantment) of his own. Tony is currently playing in several bands and continues to play regularly at Bridgtown blues and many other WA venues.
John Howard is a Perth based guitarist, singer and award winning songwriter who returned to playing live in the Perth & Fremantle area in 2018 after a 20 year hiatus while working damn hard in the mining industry. Since then, John has also recorded and released 2 x 12 track albums of original songs (So it Goes & Vintage Commando.. both on Spotify and all streaming platforms) and has played regularly in the Folk, Blues & Roots clubs around Perth & Fremantle. John continues to write and record his own music and that of other WA musicians in his home recording studio.

Dr Soul | 9.00pm

Dr Soul are a 9 piece soul cover band. Band leader Rich has put together some of Perth’s most talented musicians playing homage to some of the greatest songs of all time from artists they love through a beautiful blend of vocal harmonies, soaring brass lines from a 3 piece horn section and a tight well-oiled rhythm section engine room. Dr Soul’s set lists include tracks from classic like Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Earth wind and fire, Average White band, Amy Winehouse, Ray Charles, Sam and Dave, the Jackson 5, along with more modern artists like Beyoncé, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys and The Dip.
