SWEETPEA PRESENTS:

Workshop: WORK YOUR WOO (11am – 12.30pm)

Stage Presence & Energetic Reach

Why is it that you can’t take your eyes off of certain performers?  Have you always admired that person who makes all heads turn when they enter a room?  How can a wink hold so much energy that it makes you weak in the knees, even when you’re in the balcony?  -In this 90-minute workshop we’ll work on defining and developing that elusive thing called ‘stage presence’ and explore ways of connecting with an audience.  Beginning with giving permission to claim space and express ourselves freely, we’ll move to accessing, unblocking, and expanding those inner sources of dynamic energy or “woo” and then experiment with how to use that power onstage.  Leave with goals for you to further your own unique style by building on the strengths you already have.

Class Objectives

This class will teach students that Stage Presence is something that you can cultivate within oneself, and provide practical tools/exercises in which to do so

Workshop Length: 1.5 Hours

Level: ALL
