Animal Collective co-founder Noah Lennox aka Panda Bear, makes his highly anticipated Australian and Opera House debut in the intimate surrounds of the Joan Sutherland Theatre this December.

A unique blend of experimental-pop, featuring sun-drenched sampling coupled with introspective lyrics, Panda Bear’s careful attention to detail and masterful use of vocal harmonies are unparalleled in modern indie rock. Summoning comparisons to the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson, you can feel the warmth pouring out of the music.

Lennox's breakout arrived with the release of his third solo album 2007's Person Pitch. Quickly declared a modern classic, it topped multiple ‘Album of the Year’ lists and garnering unanimous acclaim, with Noisey, praising the album for “inspiring an entire generation of indie-situated artists to ditch their guitars, grab a sampler or two, and craft entire sonic worlds from the comfort of their bedrooms”.  Six albums later, including his latest 12-inch vinyl-only EP A Day with the Homies, Lennox continues to experiment and push creative boundaries, comfortably mixing electronic, psychedelia sounds with guitar and percussions, and mining a bedroom aesthetic that aspires to the grandiosity of a symphony orchestra.
