It's an exciting time for the video game industry in Australia, with developments in technology and platforms allowing indie developers to flourish, and reach new audiences.

Public perception is slowly shifting, but the arts and culture sphere still seems exclusionary. With endless possibilities for the arts, tech and our economy, why is our interactive entertainment sector lagging?

Join us in re-igniting the games industry, with IGN's Lucy O'Brien leading the conversation. We have brought together the top voices in the industry and government to debate, discuss and strategies for building the future of Australia's video game industry.

Senator Scott Ludlam, who led a Senate inquiry into the future of Australia's video game industry this year.

Nic Watt, game developer and creative director of one of Australia's leading independent studios of which he is a founder, Nnooo.

Siobhan Reddy, Co-Founder and Studio Director, Bafta Award Winning Media Molecule (UK)

Giselle Rosman, executive producer at The Global Game Jam and director of the International Game Developers Association in Melbourne.

Guy 'Yug' Blomberg, of PAX Australia and Oz Comic Con who also founded the first video game bar in Australia, Mana.

Antony Reed, CEO of The Game Developers' Association of Australia in Melbourne

We will look at the brain drain, government support, artistic recognition and social stigma.

All attendees are invited to contribute to the conversation at our Voice Box station.

Come learn, challenge your ideas and voice your opinions on the growing games industry in Australia.
