Sydney indie songwriter OLY SHERMAN is at his melodic best on new single ‘BONES’

Oly Sherman is excited to announce his 'Bones' single launch at Sydney's Low 302 on the 27th of July, with support from special guests Dom Youdan and James Campbell.

Oly Sherman voices engages from the onset. The indie folk songwriter has already been captivating audiences since his 2017 debut with a charming stage presence and approach to his craft; now he returns, with a beautiful new single, 'Bones'.

The single, produced by himself and Daniel Natoli (Once Around Saturn, Georgia Eyes), is driven by well-laid percussion and melodies, as Sherman's folk vocals careens throughout. Similarities to Matt Corby and Ziggy Alberts aside, Sherman has grown into an artist all his own, harnessing powerful and yearning vocals, while expressing versatility as a musician and songwriter. 'Bones' is an example of Sherman's dynamism and ability to wholly captivate.

A single rooted in Sherman's own personal story, 'Bones' is a song crafted for listeners to immerse themselves in. "'Bones' to me is about the feeling that something's coming within yourself, and you don't know whether it's something great or something that could break you. It's been a big year for me emotionally, and I wanted to create something that people could just dance to. I feel like whatever headspace people are in, songs like this can make people feel stronger and happier.." Oly Sherman

Sherman's previous releases 'Pain Free Melody' and 'Push Me Down' were early signs of the promise the Sydney songwriter held, but with the release of 'Bones', Sherman elevates; the flourishing of an exciting career continues, with 2019 looking to be Sherman's biggest yet.
