Soul great Ngaiire takes over The Lansdowne with a full band show. Hailing from the Eastern Highlands and New Ireland provinces of Papua New Guinea, Ngaiire has built a musical identity that effortlessly crosses genre and art form. Renowned for her impressive vocal force, tight beats, incredible costuming and big pop sounds, Ngaiire has acquired countless accolades including four National Live Music Awards, an FBi Radio SMAC Award for best live act, and the inaugural Australian Women in Music Award for Artistic Excellence.
Supported by multi-instrumentalist RNB rising star Milan Ring – who brings a 2020-spin to Soulquarian, Erykah Badu vibes – plus bad-bish ballroom rapper and House of Slé member Jamaica Moana.
This event is the second show in a one-day takeover of The Lansdowne curated by Ngaiire and Sydney Festival. For the afternoon program on 16 Jan, head to the event page for Christine Anu, OKENYO and Jacki Tut.
