COLIN LILLIE

COLIN LILLIE is certainly one of a kind.  This Gypsy Scotsman found a new life in Alice Springs in the Australian central desert where he has thrived as a songwriter.  Colin released his debut album “Glass Homes” in 2016 and managed to take out the AU Review people’s choice Australian Artist Of The Year award.  In early 2020 he released the Mark Lizotte (DIESEL) produced “Petrichor” EP and has recently released his second album  “Shades Of Love”.

You don’t have to delve very deep into Colin’s lyrics or the heart of his voice to know his songs are driven by someone who has all of the shades of life experience to lean into.  This rang true with his 2017 and 2019 awards for Best Live Voice at the National Live Music Awards.  His songs have also been placed in the Hollywood production “Adam” starring Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) as well as the new BBC Production “Wakefield”.  Colin has also been getting into co-writing with the likes of Rohin Jones (The Middle East) & Tyrone Noonan (George).

Pre 2020 Colin was well on the way to becoming one of Australia’s hardest touring artists supporting the likes of DIESEL, BUSBY MAROU, JAMES REYNE, and THE ANIMALS on their relentless tour schedules and making friends everywhere he went.  Colin also performed 5 shows at the 2019 Woodford Folk Festival and made it to New Orleans in early 2020 as part of the Folk Alliance International Festival.

The new album “Shades Of Love” was recorded at Wild Mountain Studios with enigmatic producer Jamie Trevaskis (The Wilson Pickers) and together Colin and Jamie found a darker honesty in his performances than on any previous releases.  Colin couldn’t be more proud to be sharing “Shades Of Love”.

“Colin Lillie has been gifted an incredible voice. It’s a voice that has seen him win countless accolades, including nominations for the National Live Music Awards’ ‘Live Voice Of The Year’.” - Scenestr

“With his debut record, Lillie has reached within himself and brought forth something truly special”
- The Guardian
“Colin Lillie is a man with a wealth of experiences and the talent to spin them into musical stories” - The Music
“Since the release of acclaimed debut album Glass Homes, Lillie has had a great run, including taking home the first-ever NT Live Voice of the Year. The latest EP Petrichor sees Lillie further embrace his folk sound. The full band is stripped back, showcasing raw vocals and a few flourishes.” - AU Review

Colin is a deeply individual artist and 'Shades of Love' is a wonderful reflection of that. A fascinating melange of influences, bold and unapologetic. I am excited for these songs to reach the ears of those in need of them.  - KARL S WILLIAMS

Colin’s music is rooted in his life experiences and his voice tells his story without pretence. He is the kind of artist who shares the things he has been through honestly...no bullshit here.   ROHIN JONES - THE MIDDLE EAST

KERRYN FIELDS

Fuelled by humility, integrity and a raw clarity of vision, Kerryn Fields paints enduring musical portraits that detail the colour and feeling of everything that makes us human.

Drawing comparisons with the likes of timeless creators, Cat Stevens, Townes Van Zandt, Joan Baez, Neil Young, and more, Fields’ trademark warmth of character - evident in both life and music - fuels a creative offering that’s equal parts captivating, refined and heartrendingly insightful.

It’s for good reason too, because life is something this artist has lived. Fields grew up in Te Kūiti, NZ, a farming community in which both her family and others’ work hard to make ends meet. With Mum on guitar and Dad fuelling an obsession with radio, cassettes and vinyl LPs by all of music’s greats, there was a life lesson in every song of Fields’ childhood.

With one hand on guitar and the other firmly upon heart, music moved Fields through a time when chronic illness, family separations and the weight of life changes presented this artist with her biggest challenges yet. It would be her relocation to Melbourne during which Fields would settle into her most significant relationship to date: that with her newfound network of fellow career singers, songwriters and performers. Life as she’d known it would change forever.

Newstead Live Music Festival’s Troubadour Artist of the Year (2019), winner of the MLT Songwriting Award (NZ Country Music Awards 2019) and New Zealand’s Best New Broadcaster (at age 19), Kerryn Fields has released a range of celebrated records including debut LP, Rascal (2015) and award-winning, critically acclaimed single, Mamma (2019).

Sure, her music speaks volumes. But it’s the captivating warmth and courage of this artist that really leaves the audience shining from the inside-out.
