Balloon Music is thrilled to announce the new single Linger from Mt. Cleverest’s sophomore EP coming later this year.

Last year saw the alt-rock group enjoy a breakout year with their first EP, first tour, first sold out shows and first national and international radio spins proving as massive highlights. After seeing the success of their debut EP, the Perth-based five-piece are back with their latest concoction in Linger.

Recorded, mixed & mastered at Poons Head Studio (Kevin Parker, Spacey Jane, Miley Cyrus) by multi WAMI winning producer Rob Grant, Linger serves as the follow up single to the incredibly well received debut EP, Money. With its infectious riff, menacing progressions, and blistering guitar work, the track is a grungy and gritty return for the band. Lead singer Christian Mechler’s stirring vocals sit amongst instrumentation that oozes influence from Catfish and The Bottlemen, Foals and The Strokes.

Fresh off the back of festival slots at WAMFest and Fairbridge Festival in recent months, the guys are celebrating the release of the new single with a string of shows across their home state of Western Australia.
