melt returns to the gaso upstairs on September 26 for a special grand final day eve event. Join us for another night showcasing an eclectic blend of electronic music and immersive visual art, featuring:

RBI
One of the minds behind Fluxx, a budding producer and excellent selector, we're stoked to have our friend RBI join us for melt 6 to deliver some hard hitting techno. Click this link for a taste of what's to come:

Common Romance
We're excited to have Melbourne's favourite power couple DJ duo (Juicy RomanceCommon Nocturne) on board to deliver a diverse and tasty range of selections they're known for providing. Check out their set for the Steel City Dance Discs takeover of Rinse FM:

Kayroy (electro/techno set)
With a slew of highly rated releases on various labels around the world, a weekly radio slot on KISS FM and an always busy schedule of local gigs, Kayroy is no stranger to the Melbourne dance community. He brings infectious energy to his DJ and live sets, whether laying down irresistibly boogieable disco or darker, atmospheric techno as part of his other project Polito. For melt 6, we're getting treated to a special electro/techno DJ set to close out the night.

SONOFLO/Velour (live)
A live improvised techno performance by ambient guitarist SONOFLO (Jordan Palamara) and Juicy Velour, who have played together in the past as Mega Flora, at Strawberry Fields in 2017. Atmospheric drone meets deep techno, with hints of house and funk.

Movement DÉCOR performing 'RE-RECYCLE MY SHIT'

A Melbourne based performance project founded by Damian Meredith and Madaleine Armstrong, Movement DÉCOR specialises in contemporary dance. The style infuses theatre, acrobatics, and installation into it's medium.

Movement DÉCOR have been featured at Strawberry Fields Festivals, Pleasure Planet, Power Station, Yoke Movement and Melbourne Fringe Festival.

As a versatile collective, performance formats range between extremes and environments. The variety extends through improvisation, choreography, in public, in theatre, film projects, roving events, stage shows, and music or visual artist collaborations.

---------

Installation by The Sibley Sisters

The Sibley Sisters are twin visual artists based in Melbourne, expressing ontological investigations through cross-disciplinary outlets.

Glorifying the ugly and uncool, the sisters often find themselves laughing at and with their creations as they highlight the absurd and ambiguous elements of life.

Working across various mediums, Frances and Jordan Sibley often collaborate to manifest installations akin to fictional, dreamscape worlds from salvaged, once-neglected materials.

Currently studying their Honours degree at VCA, the twins aim to never cease in their explorations within artistic endeavours.  If nothing else, they know they must create!

We aim to create a space where all dancers feel safe and free to express themselves. If someone's making you uncomfortable, let one of the melt crew (WillisGabiAndi), DJs, artists or any venue staff know and it will be dealt with.

The venue is located up a flight of stairs. No strobe effects will be used. The night will feature a modest use of a smoke (fog) machine.

Please feel free to contact us with any further queries or concerns regarding accessibility.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners of the land on which we gather and pay tribute to elders past, present and future.
