The Really Big Band is a 17-piece ensemble first formed in 2004 by composer/arranger Matt Amy. During an almost 5 year monthly residency at 'Manchester Lane' the band secured itself within the jazz community as one of the finest large ensembles to go and see.

The band has performed on Good Morning Australia, headlined various festivals and corporate events and has backed artists including the Scared Weird Little Guys, Bob Valentine, Tracy Bartrum and Wilbur Wilde among others.

2018 marks a new era of the Really Big Band with brand new charts, a new line up of the finest musicians and the same shenanigans from past years. Strap yourself in to experience the type of music Glenn Miller, Stravinsky and James Brown might produce if they got together.
